هجرنا الأزقة الضيقة 

تركنا الأحلام مضمخة بعطر الطفولة 

تذوي فوق الأسرّة 

وذهبنا تاركين القصائد 

تتدلى من النوافذ 

خلفنا.

We abandoned the narrow alleys 

Deserting our dreams 

over the beds

Scented by childhood perfume.

We went 

leaving the poems 

hanging from the windows 

behind us.
